You Tube
I might be the last guy on the planet to open a You Tube account, but I finally did today so we could post some of the videos we've created over the last year.
I'll be posting them as they get uploaded over the next week or so...

If anyone out there is or knows someone who is a php programmer, can you email me @ bob [at] calvarywired [dot] com?
We are in need of someone who's got the skills to pay the bills in php.

I took on a project today that needed to be done: I cleaned out my ipod of stuff that I'm never going to listen to again. I had so many messages/ podcasts that I have downloaded and listened to and so I went through the task of going through them to make room. There's some things you just aren't going to listen to over and over.
Some got trashed. Others got put on my external drive for future use/ listening.
Moral of the story: I've got 7GB's of space open on my 30GB ipod. Plenty of room for new stuff. Although I'm wishing I bought the 80 GB.
A question for the Mac guys in the house: Do any of you use Accordance Bible software. I've leaning towards making a purchase, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on it.
Pros/ Cons?
What package do you have?
Do you recommend it?
Any thoughts on the subject would be really helpful.
Gracias...

Last week my Powerbook turned off and wouldn't turn on. It was unplugged and running off battery power, so I plugged it in and the computer turned on. After a few tests, I realized the battery was bad. So I went down to my local Apple store here in Miami and sought to get my problem fixed. The line was long at the Genius Bar, so I hung out and made an appointment.
Shortly after, I saw the store manager, Brian, whom I had gotten to know from my many trips to the store and he asked what was up with my machine and I explained my situation to him. Then he went out of his way to get me some help and test some other things to see if I had to wait for the Genius Bar. I turned out I did, but I still felt like a person and not just a number.
I switched to a Mac a few years ago because PC's don't work very well. But also because whenever I had a problem, I could never get a human on the phone and when I did, it wasn't a person who spoke the same language as me. When I have an issue with my Mac, I can call or take a short drive and speak to someone face to face and have them test my computer in front of me.
All computers have problems from time to time. That's just a fact. Apples may have less problems, but they still aren't perfect. But when I have a problem, I feel as though Apple cares about me and wants to help me. That's why I love Apple.
After placing my most recent amazon.com order today, I started thinking back to the glory days. The days when I had a free trial of amazon prime, the amazing program that gives you free 2-day shipping and $3.99 overnight delivery. But it's $79 a year and I'm just too cheap to pay that, so when the trial ran out, so did my fun.
But here's what I'm thinking: Amazon Prime should be available for free to all great Amazon.com customers. If you spend a certain amount per year on stuff, you should be rewarded by being given entrance into this hallowed group simply for the sheer volume of books, music, or whatever else you've bought from them. Can someone get Jeff Bezos on phone and let him know this?
We're doing a redesign of our website that should be up in the next month. One of things that's important to me is that the website be "Live" when you go live. Too many times we put up a new site 1/2 baked and lose the impact of the new look because of the infamous "under construction" or "Coming soon" text.
My advice: don't change over until your site is done. That way, people won't miss the old site. They'll just love the new one.
There are 2 new Podcasts that I want to tell you about:
#1 - The Catalyst Podcast - The 1st episode is an interview with Andy Stanley.
#2 - Jack Black's Nacho Libre Confessional - Jack Back is just a hilarious guy that I jokingly call "my mentor." The podcast is him talking nonsense about his new movie. It's about 4 minutes long and it's funny!
itunes is the place to get it...
Yes, I'm loving the look of the new ipod nano. I'm giving my subtle hints ( including this post by the way) about what I want for my birthday (which is in less than a month for those wishing to send a cash gift). I'm looking to upgrade my ipod, but I want to hear from those that actually have one.
Please tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly, because I'm very close to putting at the top of my official birthday want list...
